IAFF LOCAL 83 HONOR GUARD
Serving with Pride
Formally established in 2006 we are volunteer members of local 83. We are solely funded by local 83 and generous donations from the community and families. We provide our services free of charge. Since our formation we have participated in various duties. We believe that our profession is one to be proud of take great honor in being there for our fallen brothers and sisters and carrying the flags of our country, state, city, department, and union.
Honor and Color Guard
One of our most active rolls is assisting families of retired and active members of the Topeka Fire Department with planning funeral services. We have developed a set of guidelines that assists the family during the difficulty process of planning a funeral for there loved one. We consider it an honor to provide as many of the families wishes as possible to show respect for their family member.
How you can help us?
